Star Wars fans are having a good year with a slew of news for “Star Wars Battlefront,” and an upcoming trilogy movie set for a 2016 release. They will be happier now that Sony appeared at this year’s Disney D23 Expo, unveiling a new Playstation 4 model that is sure to excite Star Wars fans.

The new Playstation 4 model revealed by Sony is a Darth Vader-inspired console and DualShock 4 controller. The console itself sports a black cover, with "Star Wars" written all over the top and a stencil of one of the most iconic "Star Wars" villains from the original trilogy, Darth Vader. The controller, on the other hand, is also black and features a red D-Pad. Its config buttons are all white, except for the circle, which is red.

The “Star Wars Battlefront” Vader Playstation 4 bundle will include a deluxe version of the upcoming "Battlefront" title from Electronic Arts, or EA. It will also ship with a voucher for four downloadable "Star Wars" games: “Super Star Wars,” “Star Wars: Racer Revenge,” “Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter” and “Star Wars Bounty Hunter.”

PlayStation representative Adam Boyes noted that the four games included in the bundle are not just the same versions of the game; rather, they are improved with the addition of trophies as well as enhanced graphics. According to PlayStation Blog, the Vader PS4 bundle will be exclusive to Wal-Mart. It will also come with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia and Boba Fett figures.

The PlayStation 4 will release this year to coincide with the launch of “Star Wars Battlefront,” which will hit the shelves on Nov. 17. Aside from the PlayStation 4 bundle, Sony also announced that it will release “Disney Infinity 3.0” on Aug 28. The new “Disney Infinity” game will add "Star Wars" worlds and characters to the toys-to-life game.
