Much like the Vine collection of the immortal RKO move of Randy Orton, Seth Rollins’ signature move, the “curb stomper” is slowly graining traction in the YouTube world. Rollins is all the rage these days in the world of the WWE after a successful 2014 season wherein he was able to position himself as a top heel and consequently, one of the contenders in the triple-threat heavyweight championship match at the 2015 Royal Rumble.

This has led some Rollins followers to take infuse their video editing skills with the now famous finishing move “curb stomper” as shown in the video below:

The former member of Shield was one of the few bright spots at Royal Rumble last Sunday at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia when he proved that he could go toe to toe with a behemoth wrestler such as current heavyweight champion Brock “The Beast Incarnate” Lesnar and a tried and tested former champion in John Cena. The dominating force of Lesnar was in full view when he started the match with suplex after suplex, be it Cena or Rollins. Only when he was the recipient of 3 AA’s by Cena and a menacing curb stomp from Rollins was the current champion shook.

What proceeded was an exchange of barrage below the stage culminating to Lesnar lying on the Spanish broadcasters ‘ table. Rollins then flew from the top rope to stun the champion for a good 10 minutes, and reduce the title fight into a one-on-one with Cena. Cena and Rollins went at it but nobody was able to pin the other to the 3 count until Lensar appeared from behind and delivered suplexes to both challengers.

With Cena out, Rollins took it upon him and his Money in the Bank briefcase to pummel Lesnar. He was ready to deliver the final curb stomp but a reversal from the former UFC warrior turned the attack to a devastating F-5 that was followed by the pin and the win.

Astonishing as it sounds, top heel Rollins got the loudest cheers after the match. His rise atop the WWE popularity totem pole was even validated some more when Lesnar’s Manager Paul Heyman took notice of his microphone skills when they talked trash during Monday Night Raw.

"What happened there was I was watching on the monitor, and you look at who's in the ring," Heyman recalls during his face to face with Rollins prior at Raw prior to the Royal Rumble. "You have John Cena, the top name in this industry for the past 10 years. You have Triple H and all of his accomplishments. You have Stephanie McMahon standing there. You have the Big Show standing there. And you have Seth Rollins, who is – in my opinion – the single best in-ring performer in the world today. “

The performance of Rollins is expected to be honed this year given that the younger generation has already taken notice of his signature “curb stomp” by way of the funny video clip above. After all, Orton’s RKO has made the Internet circles in the past year and has somewhat paved the way from his transition from a top heel to a new wrestler suddenly gaining the affinity of the masses.
