“Saturday Night Live” (“SNL”) promises to open the New Year with new hosts and new guest stars. Adam Driver and Ronda Rousey have just been confirmed as hosts of the show.

Rousey and Driver will be hosting two episodes of “Saturday Night Live 2016” when the new season of the show opens in January. According to the official Twitter page of “Saturday Night Live,” Driver, who plays the villain Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” will be hosting the “SNL 2016” on Jan. 16. MMA fighter Rousey, meanwhile, will be hosting the show on Jan. 23.

“SNL 2016” also promises to bring in new A-list stars and Hollywood celebrities as guests. For the new season’s musical guests, Driver will be partnered with American country and bluegrass singer Chris Stapleton. Rousey, meanwhile, will be paired with Selena Gomez.

According to Billboard, Gomez’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live 2016” would be her first. The singer also expressed her excitement to appear on “SNL 2016” on her Twitter post.

Viewers of the show have since voiced out their anticipation to see Rousey and Driver host “SNL 2016.” Fans of Gomez also commented on the singer's Twitter post to express their excitement to see her perform on the show.

Rousey agreeing to host “Saturday Night Live 2016” is said to be a good move for the UFC fighter, according to Forbes. It will reportedly give her the opportunity to face the public again after her knockout defeat from Holly Holm. It’s believed the MMA fighter has gone into hiding after she was brutally beaten by the Australian fighter during their fight in November.

Rousey refused to show her face to the paparazzi when leaving the Los Angeles airport days after her defeat. The video from TMZ below shows Rousey hiding behind her pillow while being questioned by the paparazzi.

Meanwhile, Driver is probably still feeling elated from the success of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The actor has received praises for this portrayal of Han Solo’s son in the J.J. Abrams’ film. Aside from hosting “Saturday Night Live,” 2016 will also be a busy year for him as he is set to reprise his role as Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
