Ronda Rousey has opened up about her recent loss over new UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm and revealed her future plans, including her timetable to return to the Octagon.

Rousey conducted her first interview since her devastating defeat against Holm with ESPN The Magazine, which will be released on Tuesday. A small portion of the interview was released on People.com, revealing that “Rowdy” may take some time off before cashing in her rematch with Holm.

"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” Rousey disclosed.

Rousey was left unconscious after Holm smashed a kickoff her chin, 59 second into the second round of UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. The former bantamweight champ was hospitalised after the crushing defeat and it left her “really f------ sad.”

UFC president Dana White confirmed to ESPN’s “Mike & Mike” radio show that an immediate rematch between Rousey and Holm “will happen.” However, with Rousey not expected to train for three-to-six-months, White has to bail on plans to keep Holm busy for an extended period of time without booking her first title defense.

“Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated, taken the sport to another level and was beating the best women in the world in 14 seconds or 30 seconds, so she deserves a rematch,” White said. “Holly agrees she deserves a rematch, and we’ll figure it out.”

Meanwhile, thousands of fans showed up on Sunday in Holm’s hometown Albuquerque, New Mexico as part of the champ’s victory parade. Holm spoke to the assembled crowd and thanked them all for their support in her bid to become UFC’s bantamweight champion, reports UFC’s official website.
