Sarah Hyland called her new beau Dominic Sherwood “amazing” after spending the last few months together since they started dating in November. She also talked about her latest movie and admitted to not knowing the details to a co-star’s upcoming wedding.

In an interview with E!, the “Modern Family” star giddily said that the past few months with Sherwood have been very special. "He's an amazing person," she said, after the 25-year-old actor landed a role on ABC Family’s “Shadowhunters.” Hyland added that it was an “amazing thing” that her beau got into the show and that she was so happy for him.

Hyland and Sherwood first met on the set of their movie “Vampire Academy.” They started dating each other in November last year and have since then been spotted together in public, including sightings at Disneyland, an LA Lakers game and the most recent being the music festival Coachella. The 24-year-old actress previously told People that she and Sherwood, who starred in Taylor Swift’s music video of “Style,” have been best friends for two years now.

Besides being completely contented with her personal life, Hyland has also proven to be successful in her profession. Outside “Modern Family,” she starred in the upcoming film “See You in Valhalla,” which she also co-produced. Hyland shared that she knew she wanted to take the job as one of the producers of the film after writer Brent Tarnol showed her the “amazing script.”

"We produced it together and it's something really close to my heart," she shared, adding that she was very proud of what they have created. However, when asked if she wanted to take a shot at directing and helm an episode for “Modern Family” in the near future, she thought the idea was too soon and “too much of a beast.” She added that she will stick to producing for now.

Moreover, Hyland shared that she hoped to attend the wedding of Sofia Vergara, who also stars in “Modern Family,” and Joe Manganiello. When asked about niceties on the couple’s nuptials, Hyland admitted that she didn’t know of any details she could reveal. "She has a huge family to deal with that. Her fake family doesn't need to," she said.

In her new film, Hyland will portray Johana Burwood, a young girl set to meet her quirky family after her brother died a bizarre death. After meeting her estranged father, two competitive brothers, and a whole lot more, Johana unveils secrets of her past as she dealt with family turmoil and an ex-boyfriend who could not seem to let go. “See You in Valhalla” will be out in theatres this Friday.
