Sarah Hyland has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past week. Overshadowing the premiere of the sixth season of "Modern Family" where she plays a major role as Haley Dunphy, Hyland has been in the news due to an alleged leak of her nude photos as well as her breakup and claims of domestic violence against her boyfriend of five years, Matthew Prokop. The pair has been under public scrutiny for the past few days, and tweets stemming from an incident earlier this year are claimed to give clues on Prokop's violent tendencies.

Following their breakup, Matthew Prokop has allegedly been acting obsessively toward the 23-year-old actress, and his actions have led her to secure a restraining order against him. A report by showbiz website TMZ says Hyland had broken up with Prokop following a violent incident back in May in which he allegedly choked her. Hyland already feared Prokop's reaction to her decision to break things off and had asked her TV mom Julie Bowen to come to her house to help her break the news to Prokop. He apparently freaked out and luckily, Bowen was there to intervene.

Now that these events have come to light, another incident from earlier this year has been brought back into the spotlight. Last February, while on a promo tour in Australia for "Modern Family," Hyland prematurely walked out of an event due to an incident involving a fan who touched her inappropriately in the chest area.

Showbiz website Kpopstarz dug up some old tweets from both Sarah and Matt from the incident and are saying that Matt's behaviour hinted at his violent tendencies. Right after the incident, Hyland tweeted: "Sorry to all the fans outside the #qantas event that I didn't get to say hi to but I had to leave due to an inappropriate touch of a fan." After Hyland's tweet, her then-boyfriend Prokop took to his own Twitter account to address the matter: "To the asshole who assaulted Sarah tonight I hope to God you don't see next week."

No one thought too much about the threats and most saw it as a protective instinct for Hyland. However, the website is now saying that the previous tweet showed signs of overprotectiveness and unhealthy behaviour. The TMZ reports that Prokop also threatened to set Hyland's house on fire and even threatened her dog. The restraining order that Hyland secured does not allow Prokop to get within 100 meters of her as well as her pet.
