Samsung and Apple's rivalry has been long standing that every product release from each company is compared. The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6. Nonetheless, Samsung appears intent to get away from Apple's iPhone 6 success shadow with some noting unique features on the S6. More importantly, more details about upcoming releases from both companies surface. Who will come out on top? Will it be the Galaxy Note 5 or the iPhone 7 series?

In a new video posted, the Samsung Galaxy S6 was highlighted against the iPhone 6. Firstly, it comes in two versions: the standard and dual-curved edition. Likewise, Samsung made sure to include Optical Image Stabilization on the camera of its offerings - a feature only available on the iPhone 6 Plus version. Other features discussed in the video include IR remote, heart rate sensor and built-in wireless charger.

As for the upcoming Galaxy Note 5, Vice President of Samsung UK’s IT and Mobile Division, Connor Pierce, hinted about at a new revolutionary product. The device should follow the same design factor featured in the Galaxy S6 series but with the appeal and same level of performance as the well-received Galaxy Note 4. The release will be around the fourth quarter of the year just in time for the Christmas holiday.

The release of the Galaxy Note 5 is consequently around the same period Apple releases most of its devices. Although there are still debates whether Apple will go for the iPhone 7 or the iPhone 6s, new information from supply chain sources hint a 4-inch smartphone. According to DigiTimes: "AU Optronics (AUO) will reportedly sign an agreement with Apple to will supply the vendor with panels for the iPhone...AUO is expected to supply 4-inch panels and is currently prepping 4.7- and 5.5-inch LTPS In-Cell displays at its L3A and 3B fabs." Both companies have not issued final announcements about the upcoming devices.
