Ruby Rose may be a Bella in ‘Pitch Perfect’ 3; see returning cast

“Pitch Perfect 3” is indeed happening as announced by Universal and Golden Circle last year. Latest reports claim that Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld will all be part of the forthcoming film. Now fans will be delighted to learn that Ruby Rose is reportedly in talks for the next instalment in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise.

According to EW, the Aussie actress, model and DJ’s possible role in the a cappella comedy is yet to be revealed. If negotiations go well, moviegoers can definitely keep their eyes on Rose. Fans are guessing that she will be one of the Bellas.

Rose might finally get the chance to work with Trish Sie, who will helm the upcoming “Pitch Perfect” film. Sie has choreographed the viral music videos for Ok Go. These include the "Upside Down & Inside Out" and "Here it Goes Again."

Jason Moore was the director of the original film. The first film earned a whopping US$15 million (AU$20 million). With the franchise’s massive box-office success, it is a little surprise that a third film will push through.

Details are scarce regarding the storyline for “Pitch Perfect 3.” Only one detail has been revealed by Universal so far. That is to "Get ready to have a Merry Pitchmas."

If the plot will bring the beloved characters back-to-back to Barden University, the third film will most likely be filmed around Louisiana State University's campus in Baton Rouge. The place was the shooting stomping grounds for both the first and second films.

“Pitch Perfect 3” was originally set for release on July 21, 2017. However, it was pushed back to Aug. 4. Most recently, the release date for the film was again pushed to a latter date. According to Hollywood Reporter, Universal has set the film for a holiday season release of Dec. 22. It is yet to be confirmed if the film will hit theaters in Australia on the same day.
