First unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, last June, Microsoft’s Xbox One Elite Controller has made fans ecstatic because of its unique features geared towards casual and professional gamers. Aside from the swappable parts and new triggers, Microsoft said the controller features limitless customisation. Just a few months after the new controller's reveal, a retailer has listed the device along with its release date.

GameStop and the Microsoft Store has listed an Oct. 27 release date for the controller, Polygon reports. The special controller will come at a hefty price of $149.99 (AU $208.58).

The specs and the full features of the upcoming controller are detailed at the Microsoft Store. The controller is geared toward precision gaming and is set to be fully customisable, which can be altered to fit the preferences of the player.

The device will ship with several other parts to change the specialisation of the controller. It will come with a variety of D-Pads and analog sticks. The analog sticks come in different sizes for different games. For example, players can opt to swap the regular analog stick with one that is shorter in length for more precise aiming.

Another different feature the controller has over the regular Xbox One controller is the paddles. Microsoft Store states that the paddles can be used as an alternative button to execute more commands without taking the thumbs off the analogs. The Xbox One Elite Controller will also ship with extra interchangeable paddles.

Perhaps one of the more special features of the controller is its ability to store several profiles in cloud storage. The profiles can be customised according to each player's liking and can be tweaked in terms of button configurations and analog sensitivity.

It is worth noting that the Microsoft Xbox One Elite Controller will launch on the same date as “Halo 5: Guardians.” The Xbox One Elite bundle will also include the controller along with a 1 TB Xbox One console.
