Xbox One fans have been looking forward to the November System Update. Apart from the promised backward compatibility feature, it appears that this month marks the major changes for Microsoft’s latest-gen console.

Speaking in a podcast, Xbox’s Major Nelson and Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management, Xbox and Windows Platform, revealed some key details as to what fans can expect for the upcoming preview program. According to DualShockers, the team will be rolling out the program slowly and not to everyone at once to carry out testing properly. So far, it has already been in testing for four months.

Still, the team has big plans for the Xbox One experience. The main focus of the team is in improving the user interface so that it will be the fastest and most responsive yet. The Xbox One experience is also concerned with integrating the Windows 10 into the console. As the report specified, this will be a different OS in that it will be customized. Dubbed as the One Core, the Windows 10 for the Xbox One will be tailored to the features that are beneficial and useful to users of the Xbox One.

New advancements and improvements will also boost the speed of the Xbox when compared to both its predecessor and its current performance. With all of the new features, it can boost the console to as much as 50 percent in speed as well as deliver smoother performance.

As far as the other add-ons for the Xbox One are concerned, the Xbox One app will also play a major role in the Windows 10 integration. For now, the team is even considering a preview program for this alone, as fans are giving a lot of feedback about the app integration.

Even game developers can benefit in the upcoming Xbox One experience. Given that patches and updates are, for the most part, community feedback-driven, the change will also consider how some patches can be communicated with users. This will allow voting and suggesting of features for fans of a specific game.

For now, the most that the Xbox One and Windows 10 platform can tease is a screenshot of the update, care of Ybarra’s Twitter. OneCore will be coming to the Xbox One in November.

The same image can be seen in the latest update from Xbox Wire on what’s coming with the November preview program. Apart from UI changes, the update will also see new community and entertainment features. For instance, there will be a Community section to keep track of friends’ activities, as well as an overhauled OneGuide for all TV and movie needs.
