“Person of Interest,“ or "POI," actress Sarah Shahi is set to guest star on the Sept. 13 episode of Showtime's “Ray Donovan,” which stars Liev Schreiber. The 10th episode of the show’s third season is titled "One Night in Yerevan." This appearance reunites Shahi with her former “L Word” co-star Katherine Moennig, who plays Schreiber's assistant Lena. "Ray Donovan" airs Sunday nights in the U.S. at 9 pm ET/PT on Showtime.

TV Guide reports that Shahi will portray an Armenian pop star named Hasmig, who will get in touch with Ray, a fixer for Hollywood stars and VIPs. Hasmig needs a huge favour from Mr. Donovan.

First-look photos reveal the actress sharing screentime with Moennig, with whom she had a relationship with in “L Word.” In the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, or LGBT, series, Moennig and Shahi played lovers whose romance ended after Shane McCutcheon, Moennig's character, left Carmen de la Pica Morales (Shahi) at the altar on their wedding day.

Shahi was " killed off " from "Person of Interest" in the middle of the fourth season because she had to go on maternity leave, another TV Guide report says. She gave birth to twins on March 1.

According to “POI” executive producer, Greg Plageman, she is set to rejoin the cast for Season 5, which premieres in the fall on CBS. Shahi plays Dr. Sameen Shaw, a former emergency medicine physician, U.S. Marine and U.S. Army Intelligence support operative.

In related news, Moennig has also been confirmed to be joining the new indie series “Lane 1974,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story is based on Clane Hayward's "The Hypocrisy of Disco" memoir about a 13-year-old girl named Lane, played by Sophia Mitri Schloss, who lives with her mother Hallelujah (Moennig) in a strange commune in Northern California.

There are still a few more episodes until the season finale of “Ray Donovan.” The show recently got a go signal for a fourth season with only 12 episodes. Production is set to begin in 2016.
