The production of “Agent Carter” Season 2 has officially begun, cast member Hayley Atwell has announced. The actress shared a picture of her first minor injury that happened while filming a scene for the TV series.

Atwell (Peggy) had to wake up at 3 a.m. to begin filming her scenes, the actress announced on Twitter. Many of the fans expressed their excitement for the show after reading the tweet . The actress also shared a picture of a neck injury that she called her first “war wound” on the set, during her stunt training.

The first day of filming also happened to be the birthday of Eric Pearson, one of the show’s writers. The cast and crew covered the walls of his office and all his things in the room with gift wrap papers. The crew also added a few balloons for decoration.

The crew members recorded a video of Pearson’s first reaction after seeing his office decorated on his birthday. “I’m astounded,” he said in another video that the crew recorded. The writer thanked the cast and crew for making his day special and said that he was scared to unwrap everything in his office.

In another tweet , Pearson said that he was “extremely grateful” for working with the “dedicated weirdos” of “Agent Carter” Season 2. The next season will take the main cast members to Los Angeles and new villains will be introduced, along with a new love interest for Peggy.

In an exclusive interview with SlashFilm, executive producer Tara Butters said that Peggy had made a conscious decision to move on emotionally in the first season and she may not be grieving so much for Captain America (Chris Evans) in the next season.

“The nice thing is you will see a much lighter Peggy,” Butters told SlashFilm .

Butters also revealed that the new villain in “Agent Carter” Season 2 is Madame Masque. The comic book character will appear slightly different in the TV series and will be seen as an actress. The role has already been cast, but the producers have not yet revealed the name of the actress who will be playing the new villain.
