Rapper Iggy Azalea announced her decision to quit Twitter on Wednesday night over criticism directed at her bikini body , according to The Verge. She is disappointed with the negativity all around and said “The Internet is the ugliest reflection of mankind there is." She also said that social media is too negative and draining and in a series of Tweets gave vent to her dissatisfaction.

The 24-year-old returned to California after a relaxing vacation in Hawaii with Nick Young, a basketball player from the Los Angeles Lakers team. She told that from now on her management take over her account and will tweet for her unless any message is signed –‘IA’. Azalea starts her North American concert series from Apr. 14.

The rapper was criticised and bullied by faceless people on Twitter for having a cellulite bottom. Azalea had been photographed wearing a bikini on her vacation. She said that she would like to have some peace and relaxation without being photographed by a “perve” hiding and clicking her from a distance. Iggy expressed her anger with the hatred and pettiness online and said that she doesn’t want to become angry by nature. She told her fans that she wants to keep smiling and so she was taking a break from social media for some time.

According to hollywoodlife.com it was Nick’s idea that Iggy quit Twitter. In an exclusive interview, a source informed that the player has been very supportive towards his rapper girlfriend and couldn’t see her upset. It ruined their vacation because instead of being happy about the good time they had, Iggy came home in tears.

Earlier, Azalea had taken to Twitter to lash out at Papa John’s Pizza after employees gave out her personal information to people. The company later sent their apology, but the damage had been done. The “Fancy” rapper is not the only celebrity victim of social media bullying and harassing. Last year actor Zelda Williams faced harassment on Twitter after her father Robin Williams' death. She later joined the platform again. Rapper Snoop Dogg had also criticised Iggy last year by comparing her to “White Chicks” character Marlon Wayans.
