The Queen of England had a grand celebration for her 90th birthday. It was a gathering of family, other royals, some 6,000 spectators, 1,500 performers and 900 horses. The two-hour-long celebration was also broadcasted on live TV, according to CBS News .

Her Majesty’s actual birthday is on April 21. However, the gala was set on May 15. Queen Elizabeth II arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh. Angela Kelly designed th esea green dress and matching jacket that she was donning.

The celebration included a deafening canon salute, which made the royal family cover their ears and jump out of their seats, while the Queen remained unfazed. Hosts for the royal night were Ant and Dec. The party started when Gary Barlow sang “Something About This Night” from “Finding Neverland.” It was followed by other popular artists like Katherine Jenkins and Kylie Minogue.

The hosts enumerated the world milestones and historic happenings that the Queen Elizabeth II has surpassed in her nine decades of life.
