Fans went into frenzy when in August 2015 Fox confirmed a “Prison Break” sequel with a 10-episode series. Apart from Dominic Purcell, the show creators surprised everyone when Wentworth Miller was confirmed for the “Prison Break” 2016 revival. Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) was last seen killed in the “Prison Break” season finale “Prison Break: The Final Break.” Fox CEO Dana Walden promised fans that the show will provide a logical explanation as to why Miller’s character is still alive and his death not just a dream.

Now, it has been revealed that Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Sara Tancredi in “Prison Break,” is also confirmed for the show and she is quite hopeful that filming will start in spring 2016, after considering all the actors’ other commitments. Callies stars in USA's new dystopian drama “Colony.” Miller and Purcell too are busy and having a tough time with scheduling issues. They both are in CW's superhero ensemble DC's “Legends of Tomorrow,” a 16-episode run.

However, as per Digital Spy, Callies says that she is trying real hard to make it work, so are the other lead characters Purcell and Miller. The good thing is that fans won’t have to wait much longer for the good news as Callies has assured that negotiations have almost reached a solution in the next six to eight weeks. It premieres Jan, 21, 2016 on The CW.

“I think stay tuned for that resolution. We're all moving forward with a lot of good will on both sides,” Callies added.

As stars Miller and Purcell had earlier said that their commitments towards “Legends of Tomorrow” was creating a problem and clashing with their “Prison Break” reboot plans. Although, the start date has not been finalised yet, the principle “Prison Break” cast is hopeful that they will eventually solve all their current issues and the two studios will come to a solution soon.
