Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been successful at keeping their romance relatively under the radar, but it cannot be helped that some details of their relationship slip into the hands of media. Most recently, the two have been rumoured to be engaged and that they have already settled on a few key details of their marriage.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Harry would have to obtain Queen Eizabeth’s approval before proposing to Megan. In retrospect, however, that might not be the couple’s biggest hurdle to a marriage. There are finances to consider, as well as the actress’ successful career and their possible living conditions.

According to Women’s Day (via Yahoo Lifestyle), the royal and his girlfriend have already settled on a wedding date -- Sept. 22. But as the palace prepares to make the official announcement, Harry and Meghan are already reportedly getting started on the necessary paperwork that will settle their finances. Lawyers have been brought in to finalize the documents that will outline the US$59 million (AU$76.5 million) between the couple.

It was also noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton did not sign a prenup when they married in 2011 and neither did Prince Charles and Camilla. However, Meghan was the one who initiated it as she would prefer to be financial independent should things go downhill for her and Harry sometime in the future. “She thinks it’s very important they retain financial independence,” a source told the publication.

To ensure her independence, Radar Online has reported that Meghan has no plans to stop her acting career even if she marries the royal. Harry, on his part, is reportedly very supportive of her plans. “Harry loves America and is totally open to dividing his time between Canada, LA and London once he and Meghan are officially man and wife,” an insider said. The setup is likely to work well for the couple and the royal family because Harry will be able to focus on fulfilling his duties while at home and abroad.

Meghan, who has been spending a lot of her time in London recently, has been spotted shopping for flowers. She has also been sporting a ring with an “H” on it, rumoured to come from Harry . However, any news of their engagement and corresponding plans should not be taken as fact until Kensington Palace makes the official announcement.
