Season 5 Episode 5 of “Person of Interest” has been titled “Shotseeker.” CBS has revealed a short description of its plot, leaving its viewers with a lot of questions.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Person of Interest” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

The highlight of Episode 5 is the Samaritan and its new target. The episode revolves around a New York Police Department analyst. The said analyst will be investigating a certain case that catches the attention of the Samaritan. Looking into a software glitch, the Samaritan becomes interested with the analyst.

Given that the NYPD analyst becomes the target of the Samaritan, a protector comes to the rescue. This is when John Reese steps in, Carter Matt reports.

Another take on the plot revolves around Elias. Although he is already deceased, his spirit in the show lives on. This is because one of his friends is out to avenge him. This certain friend who got upset about Elias’ death is now threatening others and also threatening Reese and Lionel Fusco, Spoiler TV writes.

The question viewers want to ask is whether Fusco will pay the price or not. Fans are also eager to know whether Fusco will pay the price simply because he did not avoid and prevent the death of Elias.

On Fusco, an interview discussed the makeup of his character for Season 5. Kevin Chapman says that Fusco’s character will go rogue for a few times in the season. He further explains that because Lionel Fusco did not know about the Machine during the earlier seasons, this left him asking a lot of questions. Thus, he started digging for information on his own.

Given that Elias is back in the storyline, viewers would definitely see his character recurring. Other characters making a comeback include Josh Close as Jeff Blackwell and James LeGros as Bruce Moran.

“Person of Interest” Season 5 Episode 5 will air on Tuesday, May 17 on CBS. It will also air on FX in Australia.
