Optus has added new content options to its entertainment catalogue for fixed broadband and mobile subscribers. Eligible customers will get more premium channels at no additional cost starting Monday.

Optus’ Yes TV by Fetch Entertainment Channel Pack

New and existing mobile customers subscribed to Optus’ $90 Entertainment Plan will get Yes TV by Fetch Entertainment Channel Pack for the life of their plan for free. The new pack includes customer access to over 35 premium channels, 30 pre-selected movies each month and the option to rent over 5,000 movies included in the Connect Pack.

Yes TV by Fetch Entertainment Pack also gives customers Wi-Fi enabled premium personal video recording (PVR) device that allows 1 terabyte of space for recording.

Entertainment Plan customers already have access to unlimited broadband data allowance, unlimited standard calls to local and national fixed lines as well as Australian mobiles, and subscription to Optus Sport with access to Premier League and Cricket Australia content.

Optus’ ABC ME app

While the additional entertainment pack is free of charge, Optus’ other new offering is not. Australia’s second largest telco has added ABC ME app option for $10 per month extra.

New and existing customers subscribed to My Plan Plus/Business and My Mobile Broadband Plan/Business can watch Australian and international content specifically designed for primary school-aged children without tapping into their monthly data allowance through the app.

By subscribing to ABC ME app, Mobile TV streaming customers will have access to data-free streaming from Netflix and Stan, as well as data-free streaming of all ABC channels and on-demand from ABC iview, dedicated preschool children’s app ABC KIDS iview, and dedicated primary school children’s app ABC ME.

“Entertainment is a key focus for Optus and we are excited to continue building our entertainment options for our customers,” Ben White, managing director of Marketing and Product, said. “These latest additions to the Entertainment Pack and Mobile TV streaming are bringing our customers more choice and value when it comes to their entertainment needs.”
