American talk show host Oprah Winfrey is all praise for country singer Taylor Swift, as she called her a “true role model.” Apparently, Swift can add Winfrey's name to her huge fan-list after being lauded by the media proprietor.

Winfey was in Australia for her "Evening With Oprah" tour when she chose to announce that she was highly impressed by the “Bad Blood” singer.

"I've never seen any woman handle herself the way she does. She makes my eyes water, the way she handles herself," Winfrey praised Swift during an interview with Herald Sun.

"She manages the whole fame trip, what it means to be in the spotlight, so when you think about all the things going wrong [with] the world, she is the true great role model," the 61-year old host added. Both, Winfrey and Swift are currently in Australia for their respective projects.

Swift is busy with her 1989 concerts, but has taken some time off to treat her entire 125-member entourage with a vacation in the Hamilton Island, just a few days before her birthday. She has planned this vacation for her crew to thank them for all their hard work. However, the hyperactive media, which is keeping a close eye on Swift, has been reprimanded by the country singer recently. Swift took to Twitter to ask the Australian media to “take it down a notch.”

On the other hand, Winfrey appreciated the “spirit of the people” in Australia in an interview with Ten Network and called it the prime reason to come back to Australia after five years.

While interacting with people, Winfrey opened up about the bitter side of her life and told that she recently named her deceased son as Kaynan, which means “new land, new life,” Herald Sun reported. Winfrey gave birth to a baby boy when she was just aged 14.

“I was raped at nine years old by a cousin, then again by another family member, and another family member,” Winfrey revealed.
