One Direction sweetheart Niall Horan has spent millions on his new home. But apparently, the place is the permanent residence of a Hollywood star’s ghost.

Niall Horan finally got his bid after spending US$3.9 million (over AU$5 million) to buy the place on Dec. 15, 2015. The One Direction singer, however, has not yet moved in the property as renovations are being made to his liking. The 22-year-old is reportedly staying in London, England, while his L.A. home is underway, so for now, the ghost of actress Gia Scala is the only resident in the mansion.

According to The Sun, one of the house’s former residents, Jack Krane, claimed that he always felt something odd living in the place. He shared that growing up in there, he always felt the presence of something. He even confirmed his gut feeling to his parents, asking if someone died in the place to which they denied. Jack, however, seem to have found out now whose presence it could be. The ghost is said to be no other than the previous owner of the house, deceased Hollywood actress Gia.

Gia Scala, purported to be the ghost, is best known for her role in the award-winning film “The Guns of Navarone.” Gia’s death was recorded as from overdose of alcohol and sleeping pills. Other reports claim that she was found naked, her body full of bruises and there was blood on her pillow.

"That house is haunted, for sure. I’ve had a few ghost stories over there.” Krane told the outlet. “It’s creepy."

Whether Niall is aware of this ghost claims or not, the 1D singer purportedly loves the house, even having had to spend millions for it. The luxury house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a rooftop deck and an outdoor swimming pool. Niall also has a grand piano in the living room for him to practice his musicality.

By the time Niall moves in, he can enjoy his luxurious place, and with any luck, not be bothered by sinister guests or residents.
