After several women accused former CBC host Jian Ghomeshi of sexual harassment, it is now a man who comes up with allegations against him. The man accused Ghomeshi of groping and fondling him during their university days.

Former York University student Jim Hounslow said that Ghomeshi had "grabbed" his genitals and "fondled them" when they worked together at the university. Ghomeshi was the student federation president during those days. Hounslow, now an e-learning specialist at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, alleged that it was a "sudden attack" from Ghomeshi while they were waiting for an elevator. He said that it was Ghomeshi's "pattern of conduct towards fellow students," The Star reported.

Both Ghomeshi and Hounslow were in their 20s when the incident took place. Hounslow said that he had found Ghomeshi to be "flattering" and "charismatic." However, his impression about Ghomeshi changed after he had reached for Hounslow's genitals to fondle them, which shocked Ghomeshi's former colleague. He said that he had grabbed Ghomeshi's arm, pulled it behind his back and pushed him hard against the elevator doors. Hounslow warned him not to repeat it. Ghomeshi accused him of being "macho, violent and homophobic" as he was just "playing around." Hounslow reminded Ghomeshi that what he had done was sexual harassment. "And that shut him up," he said

Hounslow said that Ghomeshi had been considered to be a "sexual predator" at the campus. The e-learning specialist, who did not file a formal complaint against Ghomeshi, said that he was not aware if there was any other man who had similar experience with Ghomeshi. On the other hand, a university spokesperson told The Star that no record of complaints against Ghomeshi had been found after conducting an extensive research. She said that it would be unlikely to find any record against Ghomeshi anyway as, under the file retention schedule of the university, old records were not kept. Ghomeshi was at the university more than 25 years ago, she said.

CBC News reported about another co-worker who had accused Ghomeshi of sexual harassment. She said that Ghomeshi had groped and sexually harassed her during the days she worked with him for his popular show Q.
