Canada police finally got what it had been waiting for. Formal complaints related to sexual violence were lodged against former CBC host, Jian Ghomeshi.

Three women filed legal complaints against Ghomeshi. The CBC reportedly has a graphic video that investigators as well as Ghomeshi are apparently trying to get hold of. Ottawa Citizen quoted Insp. Joanna Beaven-Desjardins telling reporters about the third woman who had filed a complaint against the radio host. He said that Ghomeshi had not been convicted as those were just "allegations" at the moment. Police are trying to get all the informations from the alleged victims so that they would have the best evidence to move forward, he said.

It was Ghomeshi who had apparently showed the graphic videos to the CBC management last October 23. The Star reported that those videos had "graphic evidence that Jian had caused physical injury to a woman." Those videos were apparently "exculpatory of his conduct." According to police, Ghomeshi has not been interviewed yet as he will only be interrogated when the evidence leads police to that point. The general complaint against Ghomeshi is physical violence during sex. The women who filed complaint against him claimed that Ghomeshi had grabbed them around the throat, squeezed the throat and struck them on the face after asking them out on dates.

Ghomeshi did not dismiss his fondness for "adventurous" sexual activities. On the other hand, he said that allegations of sexual violence were false as all his activities had been consensual in nature. Ghomeshi was earlier terminated by the CBC as the network had apparently told him that his sexual activities were not befitting for a CBC employee. One of the three women who have complained against Ghomeshi so far is Canadian actress Lucy DeCoutere. The "Trailer Park Boys" actress earlier said that Ghomeshi had choked her without warning and then slapped her multiple times on the side of her head. She said that none of what Ghomeshi did was consensual as she was shocked to be treated in such manner.

CBC spokesperson Chuck Thompson earlier said that the network had reached out to police and would completely cooperate with the investigation.
