It is down to four players for the cover of the Madden NFL 16, a popular sports video game on multiple consoles. New England Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski, New York Giants’ wide receiver Odell Beckham, Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver and return specialist Antonio Brown and Arizona Cardinals’ cornerback Patrick Peterson are the four finalists for the Madden NFL 16 cover.

Ben Volin from the Boston Globe updated the news on Twitter.

Last year, Richard Sherman, the cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks was the cover athlete for the NFL video game. The game’s creators, EASports also announced the voting via social media and fans can still vote for their favourite player to grace the cover of Madden NFL 2016.

Voting for the final four will started last Monday and will last until May 11 when the final two players going head-to-head for the game’s cover will be identified. The winner will be announced on May 13 on ESPN’s SportsCenter as in the previous years.

Among the four, Gronkowski is the most popular not only for Patriots fans but among the NFL fanbase. The three other players are among the top in their respective positions and are expected to have their shares of votes as well. Madden NFL 16 is developed by EA Tiburon and is set to be launched before the 2015 NFL regular season starts on August 25 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
