Arrival of the Nexus 5 and iPhone 6 has not yet been officially announced but a battle on rumored features and specifications as well as popularity was already formed between the upcoming smart phones. Nexus smart phones gained more popularity after the success of Google Nexus 4 while technology giant Apple is expected to incorporate impressive new features on the iPhone 6.

Recent Nexus 5 features and specifications include a 4.5-inch screen display with 720p resolution, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 2800mAh battery that will power the smart phone and the 9MP rear-camera. A remarkable feature on the primary shooter is the capability to be a CCD camera different from the usual CMOS sensor-based cameras on the other smart phones.

Nexus 5 is expected to be the first smart phone to feature the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system but a microSD card slot may not be provided on the Nexus 5. Another reported exceptional feature on the Nexus 5 smart phone is the built-in GPS at the rear camera that allows automatic control on the camera settings with the time, date and weather when capturing an image or video.

Numerous reports surrounding the iPhone 6 claim that the new Apple smart phone will have the latest 20nm A7 processor and a possible wrap-around display. The iPhone 6 is expected to have a similar design with the existing iPhone 5 with a new 5G Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth and Wireless charging features.

Furthermore, Apple iPhone 6 will include a 13MP camera, NFC capability and the rumored fingerprint scanner feature as well as the Sharp Corp touch screen display. The available iPhone 6 storage capacities are 16GB, 32GB or 64GB with the possibility of a 128GB model but without availability of a microSD card slot.

For the release date, the iPhone 6 is currently predicted to have the delayed mid-2014 arrival due to the reported production supply issues while Google is expected to unveil the Nexus 5 on October 2013.
