Actor Josh Holloway reunites with "Lost" executive producer and screenwriter Carlton Cuse in a new TV series. The former "Lost" and "Intelligence" cast member has reportedly signed on to star as the lead in USA Network's upcoming drama pilot titled "Colony."

According to a Deadline report, "Colony" is the second TV series pilot that actor Josh Holloway, 45, agreed to work on since "Lost" ended in 2010 where he portrayed con man Sawyer in the ABC drama series. The first one is CBS Network's "Intelligence" where he portrayed Gabriel Vaughn, an ex-Delta Force with a microchip implanted in his brain.

The upcoming TV series, which is a co-production between Legendary Television and Universal Cable Prods., will have Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal (Hercules) as writers and executive producers. The drama-thriller "Colony" tells the story of life in Los Angeles after a "mysterious foreign occupation.

Meanwhile, an Entertainment Weekly report revealed that former "The Walking Dead" star Sarah Wayne Callies will join the "Colony" cast. The 37-year-old actress, who portrayed Lori Grimes in the horror-drama TV series, will be portraying the character Katie Bowman in "Colony."

The report also noted down that Sarah Wayne Callies' character in "Colony" will hopefully not end up like her previous roles, Dr. Sara Tancredi in "Prison Break" and Lori Grimes in "The Walking Dead." In "Colony," Katie Bowman is a mother of three and wife to former FBI Agent Will Bowan, which actor Josh Holloway will portray in the upcoming TV series.

In order to protect his family, the FBI Agent will be forced to join forces with the occupational government to take down the growing resistance movement inside of the Los Angeles colony. A TV Fanatic report revealed that the new TV series will have a modern-day setting in Los Angeles where alien invaders occupy the place.

Furthermore, Argentinian director Juan José Campanella, known for his Oscar-winning work on "The Secret In Their Eyes," is set to take on the directorial position for the pilot. USA Network has not given announcement yet on the production details or even the premiere date for "Colony." However, the new TV series is expected to debut sometime in 2015.
