“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Xanthe gives back the ring that Brooke gave her. “Sell it,” Xanthe says. “You obviously need the money. Brooke feels bad, admitting that she only wants to prove to her daughter that she’s not useless. Xanthe assures Brooke that she just ends up in bad situations sometimes. “I don’t think going to Perth is the answer,” Xanthe tells her mum.

Brooke then reveals that she’s not going to Perth but to Adelaide. “I need to go somewhere where I can start afresh, where no one knows me,” Brooke says before dropping the bombshell. “I want you to come, too.” Digital Spy reports that left without a choice, Brooke returns the money she borrowed from her ex-boyfriend. She then pulls Xanthe aside to have a serious discussion, and it turns out to be this invitation to escape to Adelaide.

Digital Spy spoilers also suggest that in today’s episode, Paul and Terese collaborate to stop Maxine’s story from being published in Tim’s newspaper.

“Neighbours” recap

Last week, Amy was devastated when she found evidence to back up Elly’s revelation – she and Leo did have a bet. The next day, she was grumpy with everyone, especially with Leo, who dropped by her workplace. She confronted him with the bet, which Leo downplayed, and ordered him not to speak with her again. Later, Angus came over to offer comfort to his mum, making her incredibly touched.

Meanwhile, Lauren reeled after seeing her dad’s unexpected visitor: Trixie Tucker. The former Ramsay Street resident sat down with Lou and asked why he got in touch with her. The two caught up with each other’s lives, and Lou suggested rekindling their past relationship. Lauren reckoned Lou’s just looking for a rebound woman after his spat with Kathy. However, Sheila decided to intervene and told Trixie the truth about Lou and Kathy. Trixie angrily walked away, saying it’s a huge mistake reconnecting with Lou.

Speaking of anger, Paul was seething after finding out from Steph that another company, a Japanese firm named Nezumi, to bid a tender for the shed. Paul immediately assumed that Terese was the one behind it. Determined to get his revenge, Paul went ahead and called Tim, giving him the scoop about Terese and Jacka Hill’s mum, Maxine. Later, Paul shared what he learned to Amy, who said that Nezumi means rat in Japanese. Paul confronted Leo, who revealed that he’s behind the new company for himself and not for Terese. “The tender’s mine,” Leo said, leaving Paul dumbfounded.

Elsewhere, Brooke panicked when she spotted her ex at Harold’s. She picked up Xanthe from school, feigning an emergency. Brooke told Xanthe that she forgot their flight to Perth is that day. Xanthe begun to suspect something’s not right, especially with the jewellry delivery, but Brooke assured her everything’s arranged for. Xanthe insisted going home first to get her stuff, and Brooke’s ex managed to catch them at home before they got a chance to leave. “I’ve come for my money, and this time you’re not getting away,” he said.
