Difficult choices and selfless acts hound Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Friday, Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley) takes Father Vincent’s death as a sign that he needs to choose his faith over the love of his life, Paige Smith (Olympia Valance). After quite a long struggle while waiting for Jack to make up his mind, Paige is going to be unexpectedly devastated and her ego might be crushed. Fans wonder whether this would lead to Paige looking for a rebound guy.

Meanwhile, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) reckons she did Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) a favour after learning about her shady past, but it seems Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) is about to make things worse for his daughter. Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the July 21 episode include Madison Robinson (Sarah Ellen), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Tom Quill (Kane Felsinger), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Mer), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Charlie Hoyland (Alexander McGuire) and Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich).

Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Friday’s episode. In the trailer, Paige comforts Jack as she gets her head wrapped around the fact that she’s chasing after a priest. Digital Spy spoilers say that Father Vincent’s death turns out to be the sign he’s asking for – he decides to go back to his faith and continue the late priest’s legacy.

The preview video also shows Madison discovering that Terese had a picture of Amy as a sexy maid. Digital Spy reports that Madison reveals about the agreement between Tom and Ryan. Terese decides to set things right and ends the contract, telling Ryan she’ll give him money in exchange of leaving Amy and Erinsborough altogether. However, Paul isn’t happy with Terese’s intervention and bribes her investigator to give all the dirt about Ryan to the the West Waratah Star. He’s completely unaware that his move could put his daughter in a tricky situation and expose her dark past.

“Neighbours” recap

On Thursday, Jack dreamt that he chose Paige, and things got hot and heavy between them. He confessed his thoughts to Father Vincent, who scolded him for being selfish. Father Vincent said the church is Jack’s path and where he belongs. Later, Jack went to Harold’s to talk to Paige. Jack admired the sight of Paige looking after Nell – it probably reminded him of his fantasy of having a family with her.

Paige thought Jack was finally choosing her, but became frustrated when it seemed he’s still divided. The two got into an argument, and ended with more questions than answers. Jack went back to church to visit Father Vincent. The priest apologised for his earlier behaviour and said Jack was doing the right thing of exploring his faith. Father Vincent told him that to be able to decide, Jack needs to close his eyes, look into his heart and pray. Jack heeded his advice and asked God for a sign. Later, he returned to church and found Father Vincent unconscious.

Sonya was determined to look for the driver who ran over the bikes at the park. She lashed at Aaron for stirring up trouble with the video they posted, indicating that Sonya’s supporting Karl’s advocacy. She said it looks like she’s taking sides, endangering her position in the council. Mark soon discovered that the culprit was Clive West. Mark warned him about the charges he could be facing, but Clive brushed it all off, insisting that his rights were being trampled on with new regulations being raised. Mark shared this information with Sonya, and she admitted that she knows him from the multiple letters he has written the council. Mark told her that Clive lost his wife and daughter in a car accident that involved a cyclist years ago.

Feeling sympathetic, Sonya arranged for a meeting with Clive. She tried to explain her side, but Clive was abrasive. Sonya felt a kindred soul with Clive, having lost her parents in a vehicular accident as well, but he totally took it the wrong way. He even insulted his work and made unfair accusations. Sonya soon found out that Clive’s unkind words made it to the local newspaper, where she was described as crossing the boundaries of her job and using the public office for a traffic conspiracy and intimidation. Toadie pushed her to retaliate. Sonya said she won’t let people bully her, and she’s going to set things right.
