The recently released Microsoft Band is out of stock in online stores, yet again. The Band has become hugely popular, mainly due to its capability to support multi-platform handsets. This means, the gear can pair with devices running on Windows Phone 8.1 OS, Android OS version 4.3 or higher and Apple iOS version 7.1 or higher.

Even though the online stores are trying to re-stock the Microsoft Band, interested buyers who would like to get the gadget by any means can still find the wearable device in brick and mortar Microsoft Stores. With Thanksgiving and Black Friday nearing close, several physical store locations should have stocked smaller quantities of the much-in-demand Microsoft Band, according to Phone Arena.

The silver lining, however, is that the customers that are in waiting-list for the Band will get a $10 redeemable voucher, otherwise called as "checkout code," from Microsoft. This checkout code can be used for any purchase over $50. Nonetheless, this offer is specific to the online store and not applicable for physical store locations. According to Microsoft, this voucher is being given out to "make things right."

Readers should note that the Microsoft Band can only be availed in the U.S. at this point. In case of Windows Phone powered devices, the Band can integrate with Microsoft's digital personal assistant Cortana. The tech giant has combined health and fitness features with minimalistic design at an affordable price range with the Band. This gadget can be used to monitor heart rate, skin temperature, UV sensor and step count. Additionally, the Band comes equipped with GPS, Gyrometer, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and a microphone. On the other hand, health-conscious device users can also monitor calorie burn and sleep quality. Lastly, this gear can also support Guided Workouts, according to Windows Phone site.

Furthermore, the extreme demand and insufficient supply can be attributed to the tech giant's miscalculation of the possible demand, says Phone Arena. Speaking of price, the Microsoft Band will set the buyers back by just $199. Plus, potential buyers can also purchase a 3D-printed "charging station" for the Band, for as low as $15 from Shapeways.
