“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” Season 3 will premiere on Sept. 29. Chloe Bennet will be playing an important role as the hacker Daisy "Skye" Johnson. She will be assisting Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) in finding the latest Inhumans that will appear throughout the season.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” season 3 spoilers.

Comic Book Resources writes that not much is known about Skye even though she has appeared in the previous seasons of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Her real name is Daisy Johnson, based on the Marvel Comics character, Quake. Her Inhuman powers have recently surfaced, giving her the ability to create seismic waves. Bennet shared that her character will be searching for fellow Inhumans.

“I think it’s a little bit different. Coulson’s obviously still the director, but Daisy’s definitely his right-hand lady. She’s been put in charge of finding new Inhumans,” Bennet told Comic Book Resources. She added that she will no longer be wearing the flannel and spending much of her time in a van.

Bennet said that Skye is very fun to portray. In the past two years, her character has been through a lot of challenges, making her more serious, edgier and a lot tougher than before. She shared that the old Daisy will transition well into the new and more dangerous Daisy. It will still be the same character, although she will have changed a lot. She used to hate organisations like S.H.I.E.L.D. and now she is an integral member and stands by their principles.

She said that it was a sign of progress that she is the first woman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to have powers, aside from Scarlet Witch. She is also Asian-American and proud to be representing the culture in the United States as a superhero.

Executive producer Jeff Bell has said that the main focus of the group will be to find other Inhumans who may want to battle with others like them, according to TV Line. He said that finding a person with powers is different from finding one with abilities who also wishes to join your team. This storyline is linked to the Secret Warriors story in the comic books.

There will be a number of Inhumans surfacing throughout the third season. Previously, it was confirmed that Lash will be among the Inhumans who will make an appearance and might prove to be a powerful enemy. That’s why gathering a Secret Warriors team over the course of the season is apparently a high goal for S.H.I.E.L.D.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c on ABC.
