Manchester United may have found a long-term solution, in Porto's Alex Sandro, for the departing Patrice Evra.

Being United's first-choice at left-back for years, the 32-year-old Evra would apparently like to move on, with French side Monaco linked to be his likely destination.

The Red Devils are, however, not without competition as Serie A club Inter Milan are also reported to be an interested party.

Inter has been reported to have made an initial £12.5million bid, only to be rejected by Porto because of United's interest.

Sandro has been capped 6 times for Brazil, while suiting up regularly for the Dragoes.

He will be joining Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao, Everton's Leighton Baines, Saint Etienne's Faouzi Ghoulam, and Sevilla's Alberto Moreno, as possible options for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Red Devil Alex Buttner must step his game up to convince manager David Moyes that he need not look elsewhere to fill the soon to be vacant slot.
