Former “X-Factor” judge Louis Walsh has slammed the recent addition of panel of judges at the ITV show during a recent interview. Walsh specially spoke his mind about what he thinks of Nick Grimshaw and about rumours of Simon Cowell’s intention to bring One Direction member Louis Tomlinson to the show.

Now that Walsh no longer sits as a judge on the “X-Factor” he has plenty of time to go over the show’s changes, including the addition of Radio 1 DJ’s Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw. After watching the latest series of the show, Walsh told the Daily Star that the new panel of judges “need time to bed in.” The 63-year old expressed his vote of confidence for newcomer Rita Ora but was particularly doubtful of Grimshaw’s involvement on the show.

“I’m not sure about Grimshaw. I haven’t seen much of him. People don’t like change and I think they miss Dermot and maybe some people miss me,” he said.

Walsh also commented on Simon Cowell’s age being a factor in viewer’s boredom from watching the “X-Factor.” When asked to comment about the show’s big bosses' concern over Cowell’s clichéd opinions of the contestants possibly boring viewers, Louis said, “He’s the oldest on the panel now so that may be affecting him.”

Louis also had a lot of time to ponder if he should return to judge the “X-Factor” if given the opportunity. However, he expressed his concern for the lack of fun in the show, which he reportedly needs to convince him to go back.

“I had a lot of fun when it was me, Simon, Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue on the panel. I would only go back if it was a fun panel,” he told the Daily Star. Walsh also revealed that he and Cowell have been talking about the “X-Factor,” with the latter asking him for help on how to bring the show around.

A source previously told The Sun that Cowell plans to bring One Direction member Louis Tomlinson to the “X-Factor” at the judges’ houses stage to help with the show’s ratings against BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing.” However, Walsh has his doubts about the British singer helping the show since he said he’s “the least popular member of One Direction.”

Regardless, Walsh is confident that the “X-Factor” will continue to improve its ratings during the live shows. He told the Daily Star that Cowell has yet to “roll out the big guns during the live episodes.”
