“The Librarians” season 3 has witnessed Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth) getting rid of her biggest problem, a life-threatening brain tumour. Fans can recall that the Librarian underwent surgery after collapsing in a fight with evil vampires. Following this significant event in the television series, Booth has talked about her character’s big moment.

Entertainment Weekly asked Booth about what it means for her character to have the tumour taken off after all this time. “Well, it’s a lot. It’s been such a presence in her mind, literally, and such a part of who she is for almost her whole life,” she replied.

Booth has also shared that she and executive producer Dean Devlin have talked about the character when the current season has just started. She said one of the most important things for both of them was to focus on portraying Cassandra's big event through the most sensitive and realistic way in a light-hearted and goofy show.

The actress has also addressed the idea of mortality versus immortality, as well as Cillian’s struggle to deal with the stages of grief the way she did. “The way that we get to see her processing it was a really, just a beautiful roadmap, and a very simple way of portraying a very complex emotion,” she said.

“The Librarians” season 3 viewers are aware that Cillian has been using a lot of magic through the whole season. In the same interview with Entertainment Weekly, Booth has commented that her character always had this “great affinity toward magic.”

Booth further shared that if Cillian had a New Year’s resolution, it would be to take time to enjoy herself. The actress said that character she portrays is one that gets so wrapped up in her job and she thinks she should just focus for five minutes on something she really loves.

“The Librarians” season 3 airs Sundays at 8PM ET on TNT.
