Bad sex comes with bad attitude towards oneself, believes actress Lena Dunham. The short-haired actress confessed that she has had some "disastrous" partners in the past and did not enjoy having sex with them because she lacked confidence and self-love.

The "Girls" star revealed in a recent interview that she was so wrong about the concept of love-making for a long time because she was under impression that the act was all about other partner's happiness. It was only after meeting her current partner, guitarist Jack Antonoff, did she realise that making love means pleasure for both the partners.

"I was so worried about whether other people were enjoying sex with me that it never would have occurred to me that it was an act I was supposed to receive any pleasure from," revealed Lena in a candid YouTube fan chat, which can be seen here and below too.

The 28-year-old called her current partner Antonoff as "a lovely, lovely person" and said that before him she had a "train of the most disastrous, despicable, van-dwelling monsters" in her bedroom life.

Lena started enjoying her love life only when she turned 25 as that is the time when she realised that it takes two people to make each other feel good about themselves and sex is not a one man show. Before that age, she lacked confidence in herself and was having bad luck meeting all the wrong people.

"And then what I realized was having good sex takes two people who want to make each other feel good. There isn't a person who's 'good at sex' because it's an alchemy, it's a thing that happens between two people," revealed the actress and singer.

The "Tiny Furniture" actress further advised her fans that before loving someone, it is very important that they love themselves first. Attraction to good people only comes when a person is self-confident about himself and has a fair amount of attraction for himself, too, reveals the actress in the YouTube interview.

The actress then advised her fans to discard all the "negativity" from their lives because it is because of this negative feeling towards oneself that a person does not find love in their lives, believes the actress.
