“Jurassic World 2” is reportedly holding open casting for the role of a 9-year-old girl. This suggests that the plot of the next movie will once again bring in children who will be chased by vicious dinosaurs.

According to a report by Jurassic Outpost, open casting for the movie is being held in the US and in the UK. The place holder name of the role is “Lucy.” The character is 9-years-old, so the young actors interested in being cast have to be at least 9-years old, and can’t be over 10.

This is a major role in the movie and the actor is required to be able to handle long and complex scenes. The producers are looking for an actress who is sensitive and clever. She should be able to handle emotional scenes that range from tender moments with her father to anxiety, bravery and shock.

The role promises to be an “exciting opportunity” to play a “significant role” in “Jurassic World 2.”

Filming for this role will reportedly take place from February to June next year. Filming of the next movie is scheduled to take place in Hawaii, but the casting announcement makes no mention of the filming location. More casting details are expected to be announced soon.

After the box office success of the 2015 film, expectations are high on the upcoming movie. Colin Trevorrow was originally supposed to helm the movie, but due to his other commitments he stepped down and J.A. Bayona took his place. Trevorrow is still involved as one of the writers of the script.

“Jurassic World 2” is set to be released on June 22, 2018 in the US. The release date for Australia is yet to be announced by the producers. The only confirmed cast members of the film are Chris Pratt (Owen) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire).
