Johnny Depp just wants to keep peace with his wife Amber Heard, even if it means selling a yacht he once bought for his former lover Vanessa Paradis.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor’s wife reportedly refused to step onboard the 156 foot luxury yacht, an insider told Us Weekly. This prompted the actor to sell the luxury vessel. The 52-year-old purchased the yacht in 2007 and named it 'Vajoliroja' after Paradis and their two children Lily Rose and Jack.

The actor reportedly “loved the yacht” but had to part ways with it because of Heard. “He bought it for Vanessa… and Amber is still jealous of her," a source close to the couple told the magazine.

Depp and Paradis never married during the 14 years that they stayed together. The two split in June 2012. The “Alice in Wonderland” actor dated Heard soon after their separation and tied the knot with her in February this year.

Meanwhile, Depp’s recent portrayal of the notorious Boston mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, in the biopic “Black Mass,” has caught the attention of an ex-gang member in Bulger’s crew. According to People magazine, former Bulger associate Eric Schneider said that Depp did “a pretty d--- good job” in capturing Bulger’s very essence and character.

Schneider, who reportedly spent more than 20 years in the witness protection program, told People how he had a hard time watching Depp’s “Black Mass” and that it also took him three attempts to finish the movie. "The first time I went, I didn't last 10 minutes," Schneider said, adding that he "broke down."

"The second time, I got through the first hour – to where I started getting involved with him. It was too much. The third time I went, I watched the entire movie," he added . The film opened to a great start and exceeded the industry expectations for its first weekend, said Fortune, adding that it earned around $23 million.

“Black Mass” was released in the U.S. on Sept. 18.
