After “Iron Fist” and “The Defenders” season 1 premiering sometime this year, Netflix has yet another show in their line-up to boast of. Little needs be told when it comes to “Jessica Jones,” one of the highly anticipated shows in the streaming world. Krysten Ritter is back again with her trademark character in… well… what else could be but “Jessica Jones” season 2!

However, the show isn’t due any time before 2018. In fact, Ritter herself has admitted that filming of “Jessica Jones’” next season doesn’t start until it’s a pack up for “The Defenders” season 1. Nonetheless, rumors of Ritter already shooting for her solo series has been in air of late.

And that’s not all for the “Killing Bono” actress who won the Special Achievement: Best Actress award at Webby’s last year for her role in “Jessica Jones.” With “The Defenders” season 1 in production, and “Jessica Jones” season 2 already in her bag, news is that Ritter will be seen yet again this year in the upcoming Hollywood flick “The Hero,” Counsel & Heal revealed.

Talking about the cast, the supporting characters in “Jessica Jones” season 2 will be very different from what they were in the debut season. With Kilgrave (David Tennant) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) not around anymore, the relationship between Jones and her adopted sister Trish (Rachael Taylor) will see a heightened intensity at the least.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, in a statement to Esquire, talked about Jones’ and Trish’s intimacy. “People would love that,” she said. “I sometimes think there's sort of a prurient interest in that, like, can't women just be friends? I feel like for me that's what is unique about the relationship, that they are such intimate friends, and I think they don't have to become lovers—that being said, one never knows.”

Meanwhile, the wait for an update from Netflix’s side is on. Speculations are that the streaming giant will give away the dates before the premiere of “Iron Fist” in March. “Jessica Jones” season 2 will be available for viewing exclusively on Netflix.
