The next generation of iPhone devices that is likely to arrive in September have reportedly got into the production stage with makers of iPhone supply chain beginning to deliver parts and components to the two iPhone OEMs, namely, Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron.

As per a report on Digitimes, the initial shipments of new iPhone devices in Q4 2015 are expected to total atleast 50 million units. Going by number indicated by Digitimes’ sources, shipments of iPhone devices along with iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to touch 230-240 million units in 2015, whereas in 2014,the shipments were recorded at 192 million units.

Taiwan based suppliers like Foxconn, Pegatron, Largan Precision, Catcher Technology, Foxlink Technology, General Interface Solution (GIS), Zhen Ding Technology and Flexium Interconnect will get a boost to their sales numbers owing to the record shipments of iPhone devices. Suppliers, namely, Pegatron, Zhen Ding, Flexium and Largan are in the process of expanding their production facilities to suffice the increasing orders from Apple, as per the Digitimes report.

Recently, 9 to 5 Mac got its hands on the images of the iPhone 6S’s external metal casing and the internals of the next iPhone through one of its sources. As per the publication, the upcoming iPhone will sport a rear design that is identical to the current iPhone. The leaked images do not sport remarkable external changes coming from iPhone 6, with the Space Gray color given a lighter shade to contrast well with the darker Space Gray Apple Watch. It is expected that Apple’s final hardware could be fine tuned little more. As suggested by the sources of 9 to 5 Mac, it is difficult to notice any potential difference in thickness or width on the 4.7-inch iPhone 6-sized device.

As per a report on Apple Insider, the iPhone 6S is likely to get an upgraded A-series processor, 2GB RAM and Force Touch abilities. The upcoming iPhone is also expected to get an updated NXP-sourced NFC chip, new Qualcomm developed chip and might be available in new rose gold color option, reports Apple Insider.
