The first iPhone 6 images of its metal chassis have surfaced. Even though the design of the next generation iPhone does not seem to be very different than the last year’s model, it is expected to arrive with major internal improvements. The iPhone 6S will be come with larger battery, faster LTE connectivity and an upgraded 12 MP camera.

9 to 5 Mac has published images of iPhone 6S with metal chassis. The report claims that the design and width of the iPhone 6S will be quite similar to the last year’s iPhone 6. It claims that in this year, Apple will launch the iPhone 6S with 4.7-inch display and the iPhone 6S Plus with 5.5-inch display.

The position of the antenna lines, connectors, speakers, and microphones on the iPhone 6s will be same as that of the iPhone 6. Even though no cosmetic changes are expected on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, rumors suggest that a rose gold variant is currently under the wraps.

Debunking the previous rumors of dual-lens camera, the new report from Phone Arena claim that the iPhone 6S will come with an upgraded camera of 12 MP that will support 4K video shooting.

Bloomberg has revealed that the mass production of iPhone 6S will begin in July. Force Touch feature that is already present on the Apple Watch and the MacBook 2015 is expected to be one of the major features of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. It allows the display to distinguish between lighter taps and harder press on the touchscreen.

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will be able to deliver blazing fast LTE connectivity as rumour suggest that both the handset will be equipped with Cat. 6 LTE modem, claims another 9 to 5 Mac report. It will allow users to take advantage of faster download speed of 300 Mbps and upload speeds of 50 Mbps.

Lastly, Apple is rumored to pack in a thinner motherboard on the next iPhone 6S models. It means that there is a possibility of including larger batteries on the purported iPhone models. As of this writing, Apple is mum on the forthcoming iPhone 6S models. However, rumours suggest that users can expect improved features on the next generation iPhones.
