In 2016, Apple is expected to come up with their new range of devices with a handful of technological and design innovations, but recent rumours suggest that the much awaited iPad Air 3 will not sport Apple’s revolutionary 3D Force Touch technology.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a praiseworthy track record of predicting Apple’s next moves, mentioned that the company may not incorporate the path-breaking pressure sensitive display technology in the iPad Air 3, reports MacRumors. The decision stems from their internal production issues within its supply chain.

Apple is speculated to unveil the iPad Air 3 at an event in March 2016. Its predecessor was released back in October 2014. Breaking the usual pattern of releasing iPads in the fall season, Apple fully concentrated on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPad Pro.

The Cupertino-based tech conglomerate is said to be also slated to launch next year its flagship iPhone 7 along with a much anticipated 4-inch iPhone 6c, the second generation of Apple Watch and a brand new 12-inch model of MacBook Air.

The 3D Touch enables the users to perform multiple functions depending on the amount of pressure applied on the display screen. The pressure sensitive technology also allows iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users to switch to multitasking view.

Apple iPad Air 3 is tipped to feature a 9.7-inch display and may see a boost to its display resolution. The device is expected to be powered by an Apple A9X chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM. The device is also expected to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor.

As reported by Tech Radar, Apple may also dump the 16 GB variant and make 32 GB as its smallest offering. Previous rumours and speculations suggest that the Apple iPad Air 3 may be a device worth waiting for.
