For Apple, 2016 will be the year of innovations and experimentation. The devices which are expected to be launched by the Cupertino tech giant will bring along a number of pioneering technologies with new designs.

Along with its next generation of flagship iPhone 7, Apple is also slated to launch its much awaited 4-inch iPhone. The company is yet to confirm the name for the same. Speculations suggest that the new smartphone will be called an iPhone 6c which will be an upgraded version of the iPhone 5s. The device will come packed with support for Apple Pay. However, it will not sport the path-breaking 3D Force Touch.

To try out something different, Apple will reportedly ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack to make it slimmer than ever. The new iPhone 7 will be 1 mm thinner than the current iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. In the meantime, GforGames reported that the company is testing five prototypes of the iPhone 7 with different configurations.

Next year, Apple iPad Air 3 might be a device worth waiting for. The upcoming iPad Air 3 will also sport a 7000 series aluminium body with a 9.7-inch display. The device will also reportedly boast of a 4K resolution of 2334 x 3112 pixels. It is expected to be thinner than its predecessor. The iPad Air 3 will get a major overhaul in terms of processing power and memory. The device will be powered by Apple A9X processor and paired with 4GB of RAM.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple aims to launch its next generation of Apple watch at an event in March 2016. The new iteration of the wearable device will come with a new camera, wireless connectivity, health data reading sensor and sleep tracking technology. The 2nd gen Apple Watch will probably start shipping from April.
