Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev: Ex-Couple Reunited at 2013 Teen Choice Awards, Celebrates Success of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ [PHOTOS]

Screaming fans welcomed the "Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 11, in Los Angeles, California. Ian and Nina may have split in real life but the two continues to professionally reunite at work and guest appearances at ceremonies like the Teen Choice Awards show where they celebrate the success of their TV series.

Before heading to the Teen Choice Awards, Ian Somerhalder even excitedly posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder a message that reads: "Something tells me that I'm going to see a bunch of awesome teens in just a little bit. I might even get to go surfing this evening... Maybe;)"

The ex-couple looked stunning as always at the red carpet before heading inside to the celebrity-filled awards show. Nina Dobrev, 24, sizzled with her plunging jumpsuit outfit while "Vampire Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder, 34, put on a more casual look with his black eco-friendly t-shirt to attract more fans to his organization called "The Ian Somerhalder Foundation."

Ian and Nina did not attend the 2013 Teen Choice Awards to just flaunt their good looks but to represent CW's "The Vampire Diaries" since the TV series received eight nominations. Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley competed against each other for the "Choice Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi" award.

On the other hand, Nina Dobrev and co-star Kat Graham were both nominated for the category "Choice Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi." The other "Vampire Diaries" cast members were nominated as well at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards like Steven R. McQueen for the "Choice Scene Stealer, Male" award, Candice Accola for the "Choice Scene Stealer, Female" award and Joseph Morgan for the "Choice TV Villain" award.

The "Vampire Diaries" on-screen couple celebrated success at the Teen Choice Awards after winning in their respective nominations. Devoted TVD fans will be seeing more of Ian and Nina reunited as Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert for the "Vampire Diaries" Season 5 when it returns on October 3 at the CW Television Network.
