HTC is continuously building hype around its 2016 flagship smartphone, the HTC 10. The company has now officially confirmed that the smartphone will be launched on April 12.

On its official Twitter account , HTC made the HTC 10 announcement for its followers. The unveiling event will be held in New York, London and Taipei. The HTC website will be hosting the live stream of the launch event.

The company has only made an announcement on the launch event but it has not sent invitations for media event yet. Hence, it is unclear whether it will be an online-only event.

The HTC 10 is expected to arrive with Super LCD 5 display. It is considered to be one of the best features of HTC 10 because it produces better visibility and consumes less power.

Speculations suggest that it will be a 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch display that may carry support for Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It will be driven by Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4 GB of RAM. It will be arriving with a native storage of 32 GB.

HTC has hinted that the HTC 10 will be equipped with a stellar camera. Rumours suggest that it features a 12 MP rear shooter. The supposedly leaked photos have suggested that HTC may not provide BoomSound speakers on the HTC 10. However, its new teaser indicates that it will be coming with two speaker grilles that will produce impressive audio quality.

The HTC 10 will arrive preinstalled with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and HTC Sense 8.0 UI. It will be packed with a 3000 mAh capacity battery. It is also expected to house features like fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port. Leaked photos have suggested the HTC 10 will come in multiple colors such as black, white, gray and gold.
