Australian soap “Home and Away” will be taking a brief hiatus, and for its last salvo this week, it will make sure to leave its fans an epic cliffhanger. On Thursday, Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) and Justin Morgan (James Stewart) celebrate their feat of finding the elusive book that the syndicate is looking for. However, spoilers hint that the Morgans’ nightmare is far from over.

In fact, the pair’s move will put Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee), as well as the other Summer Bay residents, on harm’s way. Based on some teasers, it looks like Tori and the others are in for a bumpy plane ride, which may lead to a deep, deadly plunge. Other “Home and Away” cast members who will also appear on the upcoming installment include Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou), Zac Macguire (Charlie Clausen), Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), Duncan Stewart (Benedict Wall), Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker), Brody Morgan (Jackson Heywood), Mason Morgan (Orpheus Pledger), Martin “Ash” Ashford (George Mason), Katarina Chapman (Pia Miller), Evelyn “Evie” MacGuire’s (Philippa Northeast), Matt Page (Alec Snow), Chris Harrington (Johnny Ruffo), John Palmer (Shane Withington), Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor), Olivia Richards (Raechelle Banno), Hunter King (Scott Lee), Irene Roberts (Lynne McGranger), Billie Ashford (Tessa De Josselin) and VJ Patterson (Matthew Little).

Elsewhere, Justin and Phoebe finally make a breakthrough. Meanwhile, Tori celebrates her birthday by boarding a small plane with her friends, but it seems they are all facing serious danger.

Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Aug.4 episode. In the trailer, Tori informs Leah and Roo that her birthday is coming up, and invites them for the outing arranged by Duncan. He plans to fly them to a winery for the night. Meanwhile, Justin and Phoebe find the storage unit and she wonders why the book is so important with the mob. Spike is also seen on the trailer as he tells someone on the phone that they’re going to bring a plane down. Justin tries to call Tori to warn her, but she keeps rejecting his calls.

“Home and Away” will take a two-week break after Thursday’s episodes, and is set to return on Aug.22.

“Home and Away” recap

On Wednesday, after spending the night at the Morgan’s house, Evie mulled over the recent things in her life. She admitted to Mason that she’s thinking of Josh. The two agreed that they’d remain friends. However, when Evie was helping out Mason with his documents, the attraction was undeniable and the two shared a kiss. They ended up sleeping together once again, and decided to be friends with benefits. Evie and Morgan laid down the rules of their new arrangement, including having no feelings for each other.

Nate bumped into Tori at the beach, and he apologised for his drunken behaviour the other day. He was trying to bring up the fact that he said he liked her, but Tori evaded the topic. Later, Nate went over to the Morgan’s house to have a serious talk with Tori. Nate said what he said the other day was true, but Tori said she can’t take any drama in her life right now. An argument ensued and Tori ended up kicking Nate out of her house.

Meanwhile, Leah was offended when Matt teased her about being a grandmother. Later, Leah aired her sentiments with Irene, Marilyn and Roo. The other women tried to make Leah feel better, telling her that she’s a hot grandma. Feeling much better, she forgave Matt when he came over at her house to apologise.

Elsewhere, Alf and Duncan were feeling tense once again with the subject of Caroline. Alf was further annoyed by the fact that Duncan’s dodging his responsibilities with his kid but spends time to come up with a birthday surprise for Tori. Later, Duncan informed Tori that he’s organising an outing with some of the Summer Bay residents and they could celebrate her birthday. He refused to give her the details, however, but Tori still agreed to come.
