Hollywood actor Zac Efron enjoys having good fans among the LGBT community and even though the "High School Musical" star has dated Vanessa Hudgens and "Mirror Mirror" actress Lily Collins in the past, and speculations on his sexuality has actually been questioned sometimes.

However, the 24-year old heartthrob claims that the rumors about him being gay do not really bother him.

According to reports, Zac Efron has declared that he feels to be embraced by the gay community and the actor is very grateful for the support. "It's very flattering. After High School Musical and Hairspray. I've always felt embraced by the gay community, and I feel incredibly grateful and honored," Efron said.

Zac Efron is also refusing to live in fear about the rumors that he is gay. "I don't like to live in fear about things like rumors and backlash to begin with. That's the way I was raised but I just can't see what's so wrong about being gay," Efron added.

Growing up in California, Zac Efron found his passion in musical theatre. During that time, the actor also realized that being gay was just another way any person can be. "I never really had time to think about it or have any preconceived notions. I don't judge anyone and I never have," Efron said.

Meanwhile, Efron also emphasized his support for gay marriage which is an issue that has been very contentious in America. The young and handsome "The Lucky One" actor believes that it is very important for all the people who surround him are allowed to be happy.

"It's an issue that affects so many people in my life, a lot of my close friends and some of the most influential people around me," Efron explained.

"I just want them all to be happy. It would make me so happy to see them able to live their lives and do what they want to do," the actor further shared.
