"Twilight", "Harry Potter" and "Lord of the Rings" were among the few book-to-film adaptations that had caused quite the hype over the past years. With the big three series over and done, it's time for Hollywood to search elsewhere for books that would pose an enjoyable addiction for its many viewers. Here are just a few book-to-film adaptations that are definitely worth the wait and the watch.

The world of magic that Hogwarts has introduced in J.K. Rowling's best-selling novels is far from over. All thanks to Rowling's imagination, countless authors have followed her step in creating immense and unimaginable stories that have captured the attention of Hollywood directors.

"Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins is a perfect example of this. With the first film having debut last year, the second and third instalment is set to follow. Of course, other than the post-apocalyptic themed film, other book-to-film adaptations are set for their own Hollywood adaptation as well.

John Green's book of the year 2012 for TIME magazine, "The Fault in Our Stars" is set for its film adaptation. Casting had already begun late in May and Shailene Woodley had officially signed on for the lead role of Hazel Grace Lancaster. However, starring in Green's novel turned film isn't the only movie starring Woodley. Woodley also had the honour of nabbing the role of Tris in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Divergent."
