Artanis
New character Artanis in "Heroes of the Storm." Battle.Net

The final chapter in “StarCraft II” is set to release in just a couple of weeks for now, but those who pre-ordered “StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void” will receive a special gift in one of Blizzard’s other titles. Artanis from the “StarCraft” universe will be joining the ranks of “Heroes of the Storm” and he will be free to use soon.

Artanis comes to “Heroes of the Storm” a few weeks after the release of Lt. Morales, who is also from “StarCraft.” Unlike Lt. Morales, Artanis is a warrrior-type hero that focuses on dealing heavy damage to others. He is only one of the few bonuses that come as a pre-order bonus for “Heroes of the Storm.”

All of the skills of Artanis are slated to cause enemies damage as detailed in Lazy Gamer. First is Blade Dash, which sees Artanis quickly move forward, hitting enemies in the way. He will then return to his original position, once again damaging enemies in the way. His other skill, Phase Prism allows him to swap places with an enemy. This also causes minor damage. His other primary ability is a skill called Twin Blades which allows Artanis to attack twice every now and then.

His hero trait on the other hand will provide Artanis more time in the battlefield. The name of his hero trait is Shield Overload. This skill will protect Artanis by giving him a 5-second shield every time he takes damage when his health is below 50 per cent.

As for his heroic abilities, Artanis can cause massive damage when they are timed and placed perfectly. Supression Pulse can damage a group of enemies in a targeted area for 4 seconds. On the other hand, Purifier Beam causes massive damage to a single target.

Players who didn’t pre-order Legacy of the Void can still buy Artanis. He will be exclusively available to pre-order buyers till next week. He will then be available for purchase starting on Oct. 27.
