The actors gave insights about the bonding between cast members and their roles in the film, in an interview with Empire magazine.

"They were very much like an old married couple to start with. I think people will find them very much the same as ever. We still have the same bond, we look after each other. We are like a married couple! Especially when we're in the cockpit together. I like it," Ford (Han Solo) told the magazine while dishing out his on-screen rapport with Wookie Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), E! News reported.

Driver, who has essayed the role of Darth Vader’s heir Kylo Ren, talked about the bonding between the star cast of the flick.

"It's a group of strangers forced to be intimate in a short amount of time. A group of people trying to accomplish a mission greater than themselves. It's not about you. You have to know your role within a team and there's someone who's leading it and, if you're lucky, they know what they're doing," E! News quoted the actor.

Talking about the hardships he faced while playing Ren, Driver saidsc that “stemming from his black-and-gold helmet” was one of the hardest thing to do. The 32-year-old actor also told that he originally intended to build a career in the military but his dreams were shattered when he met with an accident. Driver then decided to attend an acting school so as to build a career in Hollywood.
