For those already thinking of dropping "Halo: Master Chief Collection" because of some of the issues in the game since its release, don't give up just yet. Yes, supposedly the game is Microsoft's biggest and most anticipated release, but the collection has not yet delivered in terms of impeccable performance and quality. The good news, though, is that developer 343 Industries does try to update fans every step of the way. In their official blog, they have notified fans that they are listening to feedback related to the title. In fact, there has been update after update on the status of where they already are in improving the title, with the latest one giving a window of when they could launch the matchmaking update.

"The team continues development and testing of upcoming content updates, the next of which will specifically make improvements to the matchmaking system and flow," 343 Industries said in a statement via its official website. "We will provide more details on the exact ETA, included fixes and additional upcoming content updates in the near future." For now, 343 Industries can only point to this week as the expected release of the matchmaking update, so it's best to keep on the dev's update list in the meantime.

There's also a new Xbox Live Rewards scheme happening now, and it's something that would benefit those who have yet to get a copy of "Halo: Master Chief Collection." According to VG 24/7, buying a copy of the game this month will give players with an Xbox Live Rewards account 15,000 points.

If that's not enough, players will even get a $15 credit. This offer is part of the MyMissions, which lets fans collect Reward Credits for either the Xbox One or Xbox 360. The source reports that even though this is technically a great offer for the holidays, early adopters of the game are not receiving the offer well.

As mentioned, a matchmaking update is expected to arrive this month for those who are already playing "Halo: Master Chief Collection." Not only have early adopters missed the 15,000 credit and $15 reward, they also have to deal with matchmaking issues for buying the game the moment it was released.

Players can either try to just overlook the Xbox Live Rewards or like what MP1st reports, try what other early adopters are doing and reach out to Microsoft for a full refund so they can buy the title again, this time with the Xbox Live Rewards. It seems that others were able to reverse their purchase and avail of the rewards through another purchase, while others only got three months' worth of free Xbox Live Gold.
