Halloween is here and in no particular order, here are some supervillain personas that you can embody if you want to spook your family and friends this season:

1. Joker (Created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane)

Batman’s arch nemesis, Joker is one of the most iconic characters of DC. He has done some of the most despicable crimes, unleashing chaos in Gotham, but his evil persona has some level of charisma to it too.

2. Norman Osborn (Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko)

Spider-Man’s criminally insane foe is also known as Green Goblin. He is responsible for Gwen Stacy’s death in the Clone Saga, and he can terrorize New York like no other.

3. Thanos (Created by Jim Starlin)

Marvel’s cosmic mad titan killed his family including his mother and wants to collect the infinity gems to be able to murder all the living things in the universe as his gift to Death.

4. Magneto (Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby)

Arguably the most fleshed-out villain in the comic books, the powerful mutant pushes for an aggressive approach in civil rights. He means well for his fellow mutants bit he has done some pretty bad stuff that hurt common civilians.

5. Lex Luthor (Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster)

DC’s resident xenophobic jerk mistrusts alien superhero Superman and is intent in unleashing his megalomaniac plans to conquer the world.

6. Two-Face (Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger)

One of Batman’s enduring enemies was once an ally before acid scarred half of his face and became insane. Two-Face always carries a double headed coin which helps him decide his every decision.

7. Red Skull (Created by Joe Simon, Jack Kirby and France Herron)

Appointed head of the Nazi terrorist group Hydra, Red Skull to Captain America is what Voldemort is to Harry Potter. He is obsessed with power and is someone who has ripped off his soul and his face in the name of world domination.

8. Doctor Doom (Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby)

A genius inventor and sorcerer, Victor Von Doom is the eternal nemesis of the Fantastic Four. Modelled after the Death, the soul-stirring villain’s name alone implies menace.

9. Purple Man (Created by Stan Lee and Joe Orlando)

Purple Man is the manipulator of tortured ex-superhero Jessica Jones that gave her PTSD. Unrepentant, he is pure evil who takes joy at making his characters do the dirty work for him.

10. Dark Phoenix (Created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum)

Jean Grey’s dark evolution as a manifestation of the prime universal force of life and passion, she’s unable to control her rage which resulted to the annihilation of the entire alien race, D’Bari.
