Comic book baddie Baron Zemo is set to make his big-screen debut in “Captain America: Civil War.” Daniel Brühl, who is best known for his roles in “Inglorious Bastards” and “Woman in Gold,” has been roped in to play the character.

Not much is known about the role, but Brühl spilled in an interview with Business Insider that he will not wear Baron Zemo’s trademark mask. And he teased that people must expect the unexpected when it comes to his character.

“You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think," he said. "It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think."

When asked if he is set to appear in more Marvel films, the actor gave an open statement. “There’s a possibility. That’s the way it’s written,” he said.

In the marvel comic books, there are two main Baron Zemos. The first is Dr. Heinrich Zemo who is one of the top scientists in the Nazi Party. He fought Captain America and the Howling Commandos during the World War II. His son named Helmut Zemo, is the second Baron Zemo. He is an engineer enraged by the return of Captain America to the modern world.

The storyline of “Captain America: Civil War” has not been revealed. However, the film will see superheroes becoming a divided lot after the Superhuman Registration Act. Chris Evan’s Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will lead two factions of a fractured Avengers team in opposite directions.

“Captain America: Civil War” opens on May 6, 2016.
